As the week draws to a close, we continue to hear of the amazing efforts of our firefighters assisting with the bushfire in South-Western Sydney last weekend. The crew from Fire & Rescue NSW Station 062 Bankstown helped a koala find shelter as the inferno at Holsworthy approached last Saturday. Putting the ‘wet stuff on the red stuff’ is pretty important when comes to extinguishing fires. All of our firefighters are trained in how to operate the fire pumps on the fire trucks. This week A and B platoons of Class 01/21 have been learning to operate the fire pumps on our trucks. | Fire and Rescue NSW
